Real estate you can make significantly more than from stocks (unless you are some great day trader), but it also requires more time and money.

I am learning about options with a conservative, investor's approach (not a trader's approach) and I am making income with options.  

Hi AllI have posted some queries in the Houston Group forum about 8 days ago, however there has been no responses and the group seems dead :-(I have been an active real estate trader in New Zealand since 2001.Our main strategy is to make low ball offers on REO single family houses in first home buyer neighbourhoods,rehab and sell them to owner occupiers.

I found one of the most respected traders for that market and signed a deal to buy some small quantity from him (I didn't make much money on that trade :) ).

It's easy for lenders to push you to the side or re-trade rate when they have to give concessions on one of their other larger customers to keep them happy.1,540,000 at a 65% ltv is only 1,001,000 loan.

@John Jackson  back when I was coaching that student group that you were in, you were a  day trader with two young girls and your wife was teaching school in Texas What I'm most impressed about you John is that you found a way to work within the law of Texas when it was a mess in 2005 regarding executory contracts, you investigated the law and found the best way to do lease option assignments.  

A third coworker is a stock trader that has went to classes to beat the market and is losing big time on oil.
