My gut was telling me calling it inventory was strange when it could be redeemed and removed from "inventory" by next year, but I wanted to hear it from another source who deals with finances more than I do.

Lots of old houses were built before codes were enforced so we see lots of things like missing headers or strange methods for hanging joists or cut out structural elements for heating ducts and things.

The complex was originally a heavy value add project and it seems like they've done a lot of work on it (and it's evident), but it strikes me as strange that they wouldn't be documenting the work for an eventual sale.
