I did have one investor tell me that was the deciding factor since he didn't own a car as someone living in Manhattan.

I plan to get a cheap car, a place to stay, then look for work.

They'll be jumping in the car as soon as you send them a new deal.Also make sure you look at the link for cash buyers I posted above.

@Cara Lonsdale, you're not joking about how some rentals are when they are supposed to be ready for new tenants. 

The best car is a paid for car as you will have irregular income starting out and you will appreciate not having a car paymentAdditionally, you will find that you will rarely if ever have a client in your car

@cara lonsdale I've read a little into the 203K loan program and it seems like a good route to build near instant equity and spread it out over the life of the loan.

I put off buying a new car as to keep from having payments or using cash.
