While I was reading your original post yesterday, I received an e-mail from a group of four graduate students who asked to be put on a waiting list for either of these properties in the event the incumbent tenants elect not to renew when their lease comes due in August 2014.I sent the ring leader of the group a copy of our application form and two have already responded with completed applications.

I think I'm more emotionally invested in the money I spent to get the phone to ring than the property and want to make an offer.

I guess the way I look at it as far as going into rougher areas is that if I hire a PM (which I plan on doing) who already manages a ton of properties in the iffy/inner ring suburbs I feel comfortable with it.

It has the copper fittings and crimp rings (as opposed to plastic and aluminium) and looks like an excellent installation, however I am worried about a buyers home inspection calling it out.
