The military consumes you, It's not a job, it's a whole new life. you won't be spending time getting better at real estate, you'll be jumping out of planes and going to wars.you'll also be spending lots of time around people who have no interest in financial achievement.if you're only joining for economic reasons, you're gonna make an embarrassingly large mistake.

You should already have a proof of funds or cash on hand to cover the offers you are making unless you are planing on wholesaling.

Just in what I pay annually in Oregon in state income tax and now that you cant write it off its a double whammy.. but granted not every one gets income in 14 states like I do LOL... also I am tired of NW winter  like the summer.. but winter Not so much.. even though its chilly in vegas in the winter the sun shines.. and there is a lot to do there.I tried one winter in La Quinta but was bored to death there you can only play so much golf. although I had my plane at Thermal and we had a lot of nice flying that winter all over the south land..

Dear BiggerPockets community,I am planing to buy a property from a wholesaler I met at the REI meet up.

I already plane on installing new roofs and paint on the outside.)

This is a pain, takes time and costs you money to get on a plane and visit them. 

I stay motivated by looking towards a future where I don't have to sit in traffic for an hour every morning on the way to work, a future where I can buy plane tickets on a whim just because I can, or a future where I can go hiking every afternoon with my dog instead of sitting in a sterile lunch room at work.

Plus, the plane rides were pretty long.

Even with the good wholesalers, deals in Dallas are so hard to come by no one is going to hold a property, until you can get on a plane and fly down, so you're still going to have to find a ground partner.  

It wouldn't make sense in my situation (or yours) to hop on a plane to "confirm" that broken garbage disposal.
