But then again people who leave the area of west north avenue may also move there. 

That would be around 24k plus all closing and financing coast. 

I was vaguely familiar with the area as being close to West Tampa, where I had much earlier decided I would like to live if I were to live in Tampa.

It is not a prime buy and hold area PER BP  mantra more like west coast and more expensive areas but yoiu have to dig the appreciation and if you ever want to sell it takes a matter of days...I built the house that Shep from southern charm bought  FYI  coincendence but it was fun being on the show.

@Armando Castillo not to doubt you are you saying you have CLOSED on a tape of CA assets at 45 to 65% of TRUE ARV  or  just what they say the ARV is :That would be truly incredible .. out in the mid west Absolutly no problem and you would be over paying by a bunch in many markets at those % numbers... if you have details that would be great.

My husband and I are new to Greenville - also from Maine (mid-coast) and so far are really liking it. 

I bought my first property in West Milwaukee which is a 30 minute drive for me, but can easily be 60 minutes during rush hour (guess when I have time to go).

Here on the east coast, hurricane winds will bring one down, even several hours in from the coast.
