I don't have a large knowledge of the Syracuse area but do have a nice setup in Utica with property management, and a good handy man/maintenance guy who I believe does travel to Syracuse.

My partner and I are looking to increase our portfolio of buildings and will be traveling to the DFW area next week (Dec 26-29th).  

For example, Logan Square changes quite a bit as you travel west.  

Since I travel a lot as a consultant I try to use that time to catch up with the podcasts.My original plan was to keep dumping my money into the markets and in a year or 5 buy my first property when my nest egg is large enough for a down payment (typically 30% on an investor's mortage).

I can trade some interesting travel stories for REI experiences.  

Don't know if he will travel that far.

We didn't travel or do anything.

I had to travel there to build the relationships and find who I wanted to use.

I travel occasionally to the Philadelphia area and the Greenville / Spartanburg, SC area, so I would I am open to investing in those areas as well.
