You obligate yourself to lot's of debt.If people can buy NMD and get sellers to have non-recourse and no personal guarantee attached or cross collateralization of other properties then they could go for it with minimal risk.The debt load being carried will affect getting other properties.

I'm probably not the best to ask about this its just my 2cents.Sounds like you already have a trial date set though in this case, but I'd call my lawyer (I'm lucky mine is a friend that doesn't really charge me) and have him push the date out and keep causing delays.
