Yes, exactly..It is really very simple....as long as you have a principal balance (until the loan is completely paid off) interest accrues Every day, of course.If you have a $100,000 balance....loan at 12% (1%/month).... for one month(you pay your loan monthly) the interest due would be $1,000 for that month (approx $33.33/day).If you paid the interest after only 15 days, it would be $500, etc, etc.On a normal amortized loan, you pay the interest due for that month plus some principal.
