I do plan to open a business card for travel rewards/points but I am unsure whether I can charge the house hack renovation expenses to a business card...  

Staying the course in real estate investing will bring rewards that most will never get to experience.

I have found it to be very rewarding.

The only time I don't use a card is for purchases where they charge a fee for using credit, because there is no incentive then.I have used other reward cards in the past like airline rewards to get point bonuses.

And therein lies one of our country's intrinsic problems:We are rewarded for 'consumption' rather than 'saving' and/or 'investing'.As Bob Dylan also wrote: "It's a hard rain's a-gonna fall."

Where risk is taken rewards are deserved.There has been an article or two where fraud has occured but this was where a previous offer was held back and a lower offer substituted after the fact.

This needs to be balanced with reward seeking behavior to so that they can find yield to grow their portfolio.

Do the math, and you'll see that partnering is a lower-risk, higher-reward solution than high-priced hard-money (at least in my experience and the numbers I see).
