I am a retired Marine after 28 years of active duty, and have since worked as a contractor and now as a Federal government civilian for the past seven years.My profile provides a little more detail, so here I'll just reiterate that I'm a real estate investing newbie with a goal to start slow and sure, and then grow moderately.

They type a keyword in Google and then a forum post for Bigger Pockets shows on position 1 or 2 on the 1st page of Google.They click on the forum post from the link, click on my profile and see 8,000 posts or so and see the content.

. :) After having some problems with my old profile, I am back and excited to interact with the community here.Coming back to BP was an easy decision as I am now getting way more involved in Real Estate beyond building my own portfolio.

I have seen at least two people from the market place block ("This member has hidden their profile.") their profile.   

Like I put in my profile, I’m always looking to expand my network and meet fellow realtors, investors, and lenders.

We even state this in our marketing materials and in our BP profile.

. - I would say first of all, get a picture and upload it, you don't have one on your profile and you are basically in the business of branding. - Create a personal website - hosting and domain names are pretty inexpensive - you can then just use a simple wordpress theme (youtube has many videos on making a simple site) or pay someone to build one for you (this can get expensive if you have to pay someone) - Give a card to everyone - in line at the grocery?

Option 4 is little risky to my risk profile I think.
