Hi everyone! 

My name is Terry. I found this terrific site after helping a friend decide if the real estate investing seminar she'd signed up and paid a modest fee for was worth the money and effort. When I learned the whopping money she was going to be asked for to learn and use a particular system, and that alternatives such as this site exist, it was easy to discuss options. 

I was reminded how interested I am in breaking away from the rewarding but shackling professional life I live. I am a retired Marine after 28 years of active duty, and have since worked as a contractor and now as a Federal government civilian for the past seven years.

My profile provides a little more detail, so here I'll just reiterate that I'm a real estate investing newbie with a goal to start slow and sure, and then grow moderately. I have thought of starting with a simple fixer-upper selling below market value.

I am interested in networking, too. I'm in Montclair which is near the southern edge of the Wash D.C. Metro area. The Lake Montclair community is only a few miles West of Quantico.
