I recently moved into a property in Sanford, NC that I plan to house hack and eventually keep as a LTR.

This is not that big of a deal in reality since the lease terms still are enforceable and it just converts to MTM.

So you will follow local laws on notices ets, and eventually file for 'unlawful detainer' in court.

I’ve thought about Corpus Christi area or Austin area due to having friends and family in those areas but don’t know those markets and open to other suggestions and advice.Looking forward to being part of this community and learning from everyone and eventually helping other rookies.

Eventually (within 5 years) I would like to move back to my hometown in Northwest Arkansas and keep this home in Nashville as a rental property.

Occupy the home for a period of time and then convert to a rental if you decide to live elsewhere.  

The mortgage loan is 100% under my name. 2 years ago, I moved & converted the property to an investment property, and purchased another primary residence property in Georgia.

I refuse to accept this as being MY life.Multifamily real estate is where I would like to see myself eventually.

I also noticed it said it needs to be owner occupied I was curious if this was something you could jailbreak for a year during the rehab phase and then convert into a rental?

I’m looking at a duplex that was illegally converted (proper permits weren’t pulled/zoning is still single family residential).
