For now I'd be looking to use it just for research purposes, and will be looking to expand my use of the license in the next year or so (long story short)With my education and career experience I could qualify for the Managing Broker license.

Focus on education until you can answer this question for yourself.

If BP was around would you have just stayed here to get your education?

Of what I recall I think the material they test over is about the same, I don't recall though if there are different requirements in continuing education or other things like that. 

BP offers free online videos and educational courses for you to watch and learn from.

This is done online, but must complete 22.5 hours of continuing education.

I say almost because you still have to get enough education to make sure your team is doing the right things.  

@Taylor Rider, a great resource is: Start Your Own Corporation by Rich Dad's Advisor, Garrett Sutton Esq., he suggests we start a Nevada or Wyoming LLCs or Corporations for they have stronger corporate protection compared to the other states.Best of luck!
