Anyone have a suggestion for what mail piece to use for eviction lists?

One little problem I keep encountering is the drywall when I have to put a patch piece of drywall in the original drywall is less the a 1/2 inch but more than the 3/8.

The 2 vertical pieces are what the landing is currently resting and the stairs go straight down to the ground.

Eventually I purchased a piece of plate glass and affixed it to the counter with water-proof caulking.

Last piece:  this tenant is a more or less good tenant, and I've never had to take action for any issues with her.
