It was vacant for a year and should have lost it's zoning, but the only way to actually do that would be to demo the building and build 3 SFR on the underlying lots.

Now, we knew what to expect as we did an inspection prior to releasing them from the lease, communicated all that with the Section 8 program (they lost their voucher after their case worker so the video and the pictures), but still...I don't wont to be so negative and deny potentially "decent" people a good house to live in, but look at the pictures below!

The home is owned by a friend of a friend and the mortgage isn't underwater yet, but the friend's friend lost his job and will not be able to afford to make payments so the bank has let him put the house up as a short sale before going through the foreclosure process.  

Nothing the neighbors can do ........ they have tried ,and lost and paid his attorney fees 

We lost a great deal of enthusiasm and momentum. 

I think interviewing is a lost art in this business. 

It's better to sell to a developer and let them take the risk of lost rents and ready to go vertical with new improvements.That is nuts to put 400,000 down on such a property.  

Lost a lot but I want to get back on track, learning how to invest wiser and make better decisions. 

Id like to know a little on my own going in- rather than relying on the brokers and showing what a lost puppy I really am.

As a first time home buyer, I am lost.
