So many people, sometimes by the speakers themselves and sometimes by those promoting them, attach the word guru when describing a person.

You won't find them promoting national seminars, providing free one hour introductory seminars at 6 local hotels, or promising that anyone who can come up with $5000 can be successful.

Not certain how that is self promoting ...

Michael Quarles - you have to get the customers / users of that site to post the link, otherwise the moderators will consider that link you posted to be self-promotional - even if it answers the OP's inquiry.

If anything it is overblown and over promoted. and looked down uponMany new investors who have been sucked in by the gurus with the "It's easy, no risk, no brains, no money needed" pitch.

So I saw a post by @Stephen Dillard promoting his company(I'm pretty sure it was in an appropriate forum).

I get annoyed with the guru-motivational speaking-hustler types that give you half an answer and make you pay for the next half, any guru that promotes a cruise ship seminar or bootcamp for thousands of dollars, guru's who don't actually invest in real estate for their main source of income, guru's who are regurgitating the same material and selling each other's stuff through affiliate programs, and such.I would follow my mentor's guidance and direction, master it, then conquer the world.If I made $20k a month then I would position myself as owner, not owner operator.

Not sure how I got negative points probably deserved it at some point, I am more careful now in how I promote myself online at forums.I did not post rates here since if I did then I would look like I am blatantly promoting myself so, chose not to disclose for fear of negative feedback.Feel free to contact me and I will share the terms and rates, it just seems this was not the place to advertise my rates for my lenders.I am not a direct lender but am a independent financial loan broker specializing strictly with hard money, private money, and now transactional funding as I am always on the hunt for new sources of money since money has a funny way of running out with lenders, so I am always on the lookout for new lenders who will fund loans to my prospective borrowers seeking loans.
