There are lot of things can go wrong. 

Lots of people getting duped on the STRs in 3rd ward; it's just wrong. 3rd and 5th ward seem to get the most attention, followed by Acres homes, but I don't invest in the slums.I bought a few houses in Houston in the heights, midtown-ish area, and the Lindale area.

I struggle with very non-specific rules about what the REIT can invest in. 

Also, if we want to be specific, are we talking about areas such as Leander? 

Any specific metrics or criteria that have consistently led to successful deals for you?

If you have a good building inspection done during your due diligence period it can help you discover much of what may go wrong with your property initially but there is no guarantee other things may not happen.

I was completely wrong about being able to live with other tenants in the city and am really embarrassed and devastated with this situation.I got a lower down payment loan (10%) and good rate for this property with the intention of me living in it but I already know I can’t and am honestly panicking in tears.
