Even though I am a contractor , I have never done one .

You have no signed contract or $$ exchanged so you are still able to bail...same as if he wanted to bail...Be truthful but vague.....

Contractors will help you understand the cost of any needed repairs.

Water is leaking into the home and causing damages, possibly mold, so Aaron is working with contractors but they can't figure it out and stop the water.

I have pretty solid contractors for most other things but I can't seen to nail down a deal  on cabinets. 

Lessons learned: always maintain cash reserves for maintenance/repairs, fire bad contractors pronto, be friendly with renters but not friends, a decent buyer's agents do not make a good seller's agent, I must always keep my thumb on the numbers and eyes on the contractors, and as with anything else -- you get what you pay for when it comes to contractors Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?
