I had a feeling it would be something like that what you described.As Spencer said consider it a lesson learned, try to exhaust all free resources first like youtube videos, BP blogs/webinars, articles.

But its your call, I first suggest you get yourself educated by asking questions here, listening to podcasts, reading books, watching videos and deciding on your strategy before jumping in.
