oh hi, i just saw this. yes co-signing is no problem. they would rent the place themselves (from across the country), pay four months up front, etc. my impression is that every prospective landlord will require me to fill out an application and then will either try or succeed at talking to my recent "landlords". 

EVERYONE, no matter how low their income is, would be guaranteed the "right" to rent ANYWHERE at an out-of-pocket cost of no more than 30% of their income.This would create unimaginable demand congestion in the most expensive areas, as suddenly everyone in the country can "afford" to rent there!
