The problem is that another builder down the street hasn’t had any issues and it now seems like there must have been someone we aggravated and their slowing us down on purpose.

You will get a brand new unit with warranties from the builder.

Leverage is ...when we men typically do pushups we use our two hands to push our body from the floor, ( now lets say hypothetically (for some reason you have some atrophies) or weak muscles in your arms. and you need to strengthen them. 

I have only had mice occasionally but in the past 2 weeks, I trapped a flying squirrel that got into a relatively new construction cabin cause the builder put the wrong vent panel on one of the bathroom exhaust vents.

If what you have said is true then  people in the market, being incentivized to minimize expenses, should have caught onto the facts you described above and a significant portion of them should have made their homes net zero already and/or demanded it from builders of new construction.
