I believe the difference is that in Texas you are allowed access and possession during the redemption period and therefore can somewhat control the condition of the property during the redemption period which is a positive for the underwriters.

I do not believe in Maryland, DC nor Virginia are you required to be a Realtor to get MLS access, just an agent.
