The rate lock had expired and they didn’t extend it because they didn’t open their email.

That said, I’m not thrilled about the higher interest rates and not being able to lock into a 30 year fixed rate.Any feedback, advice or links to good forum threads on this topic would be greatly appreciated!

I'd also weight the liquidity of the investment in considering your potential return.... if you lock yourself in for a year and there is a favourable shift in the RE market or in your financial situation, you won't be able to act...

@Mike Reynolds What terms did the bank lock you in on your first park.

I would save up more before pulling the trigger or find someone who you can lean on in case things go south.

Luckily we did did not engage in builder contracts and have them locked in a price.
