I paid cash for a house with a 401k loan 4 years ago.

The agreed upon interest rate is 5% amortized over 40 years, but in reality the buyer is reducing that to 30 years by paying 2969.80/month.

We have been switching back to laminate this year in our Berwyn and Cicero rentals as the renter pool has been ok with it.

I'm doing that right now as a 23-year-old who is a year out of college. 

Been doing this game for 20 years...work your job, visit and help your mom, then find time to fix up your rental...always always family first without regrets or self inflicted anxiety. 

I've worked in technology sales/mgmt for 28 years and have done well, but probably need to work 5 more years to ensure a comfortable retirement and legacy for the kids.
