RE can be very gratifying.Really helping a young couple buy their first home, making it work for them.Solving problems for others and really saving them from what they saw as devastating or an impossible situation like losing a home.Helping others getting started in some business guiding them to success.Being involved in community, providing safe and affordable housing, no hand out but a real hand up.Assisting people to get back on track in their lives from homelessness.Providing housing solutions through redevelopment cleaning up blighted areas for a better community.Forming relationships with professionals and laypersons that seek your advice is gratifying as well.Having the opportunity to pass on your experiences and knowledge, teaching others how to fish is also gratifying.It's not all about the money, it's more about your contributions in life, to your family and your community

So, if that type of thing is going on I'd not want my collateral shut down or use limited and left with a clean up.I'd get with the lender and see what the specific issue is and see if special provisions couldn't be made to cure the problem.

I was reading an article and there were some hypothetical situations and one of the things ended up being a pretty clean cash offer at ~$200K for a rehabbed house.What I could not get past is that I just can't imagine that this comes up very much

No dwellings.Fourth lot is a strip next to existing driveway, presumably to widen the access (flag lot and shared easement).Cost to clear the junk: $10k.Possible squatter living in a fifth wheel on property.The three daughters live out of town and don't want to have to clean out all the junk.

If they are a great tenant (i.e keep the place clean and no problems except money) you might want to consider keeping the tenant and create a payment plan for the missed month.Could ask for a minimum/partial payment partial payment for December and then spread the amount owing across the remainder of the lease....benefit here is that you can ask for a higher minimum payment the next month since the rent will be slightly higher.
