We maintain a good relationship with the city code enforcement.

If the foundation is solid, the electrical passes code, the roof has life left, the plumbing is functioning - that's the heavy (and costly) lifting. 

If it goes down they'll honor the newer rate with no expenses.

I realize its a newer concept and may not be in all markets, but the thought there would be to have the guest go there and give them a unique code to grab the key. 

The bathroom was not done up to code and the city inspector is requiring me to get a "deconversion permit" to remove the bathroom before he removes the other minor violations that are unrelated.

When looking at fair market value in my zip code on HUD, 4BR are $1932 for 2022, jumping to $2,255 next year. 

These are professionals with additional training and a stricter code of ethics.
