You won't be able to claim the lost income from missed opportunity costs.Best strategy is to let the borrower sell the property.

Also working on a missing middle housing development of over 40 units. 

And all of the reviewers and inspectors I have ever dealt with have been very kind and super helpful, often times coming back to reinspect the same day if I missed something small.There is some time and cost associated with it.
