You might be surprised what you see.

We also had the typical surprises (extra costs) you might expect to run into on a 100-year-old house.So in a flat market this deal would have made me $30K.

Doesn't mean you won't find a surprise, but it limits your exposure.

I know your looking for success stories but I will be surprised if there are very many.

I'm not opposed to a full demo, maybe I will go with that because at least you can control prices more on new than you can on surprises.  

I was surprised to find that my research indicated that FHA loans are, actually assumable.
