Don't buy in the roughest neighborhood in the urban core.

@Brandon Lewis if you are flipping I would look time on market, crime, school ratings, which neighborhoods are desired over others, the median price of homes, the price of homes in certain neighborhoods you are looking at, population growth, the top employers and how their business is doing, any city projects planned to boost growth, any large private projects.

What we want to do is house hack, but we don't want to lose money on this condo, even though we don't want to live in it anymore (neighbors, the neighborhood - very industrial near Boeing, and they took away our ability to have a grill, but I suppose that's neither here nor there).  

The web site says http://fortworthtexas.gov/neighborhoods/NEZ/Promote housing, economic development and quality services in Fort Worth central city.So what does this really mean for those of us who have rentals in the area? 

I've been watching the MLS and getting a feel for the price ranges in the neighborhoods, prices are all over the place.

Just wanted to get feedback from locals about the neighborhood.

I found a desirable park that fits my criteria that's currently in pre-foreclosure.

But would still have a lot of $ left to do 20% down on a duplex in a less desirable neighborhood thst I want to live in.
