I’ve taken wholesaling courses and watched podcasts about them, I set up an S-Corp and I’ve saved about 2k and I feel like I’m ready to start marketing but a constant thing I hear people say is to have a mentor and I guess that’s the one thing I’m missing before I start working, i was going To start direct mail using list source but The cost of the list was 6k and i have no idea if thats a normal price or not ,it would be great to have someone to work with that has more experience, I was thinking about going to a REIA group, any advice would be appreciated thanks!

Of course it is @Kyle Ransom, I haven't done it, but i know some that do.its all about finding the right seller.  

Therefore, it is still very beneficial from a tax perspective to invest in an OZ fund for that reason alone, assuming of course the OZ project makes a decent IRR over the 10 year required hold period.  

I would start with education.. of course, various posts in the BP forums is one place to start.
