I wouldn’t ever take my rent in cash; I’d like a paper trail of each payment but again good food for thought.

The wrong people are late on rent, make unreasonable repair requests, damage the property, and frankly can rationalize any type of behavior they want.For definition C and D would be in average to poor condition, on busy streets, on 'rental' streets (cars parked in yard, sofas in yard, etc), poor schools, grocery store too far away so primary food source in convenience mart.I'm in Austin, FYI

Louisville is large enough for this to work, but in smaller areas it may be impossible to rent without a sign out front.Just some food for thought!

They abandoned the house without telling us, leaving a refrigerator/freezer full of rotten food for us to find nearly a week later, and the house was filled with garbage.

You can deduct everything off your taxes ( flight, lodging, rental car, gas and food).Good Luck
