The only way I really see this working is if a builder is distressed and needs to move inventory and can't afford to hold the property until he can sell it at market.You may want to look at fix-n-flip properties or  buy and hold rentals for cash flow.

Yes, I've read some web reports about the Raleigh city council vacillating over what rules to impose on airbnb and STR in general.https://www.newsobserver.com/n...It seems they've not been enforcing any of their decisions, as a quick scan at airbnb's site shows lots of whole house / apartment rentals in the metro area.Even so, we'll keep our options open and may need to expand our search outside of the Raleigh city limits.

the list that i have focused on properties bought in the 1980s. a lot of them were bought at a price 10-15% of current market price. it would be good to know if any were in some kind of situation.thanks for the comments.i'll update the thread when i finalize on the direct mail strategy. i'm trying to do n learn at same time--reading the BP blogs n Anson Young's great deals book, and trying to do a Chris McClatchey style financing,
