Others (Wife forced me to drive her a few places during Imelda when it wasn't so bad out) seem to park their cars on the streets which in some cases were higher than the surrounding land.

Look for the major intersections or streets where things change so you can narrow your search criteria some more (West of Grand, South of 44, Dogtown neighborhood etc).

(Place in on a side street just a short walk form there).

I graduated from WWU as well and purchased my first property up there for the same reason....a duplex on Racine Street!

There is no on-street parking nearby.There is probably a prescriptive easement in place for the parking.

I've learned more about the business within these confines than I have on the street.

Tracing the current note holder can be very involved, time consuming and hard enough for a broker, much less someone off the street trying to get to a servicer or sub-servicer who has no reason to disclose who the current holder may be.
