My attorney (not the original injury lawyer who wrote waiver) said the waiver was very professional and probably would have held up in court/trail since it was not a "blanket" form and was more detailed and included processes to follow for reporting etc...Anyways, long story short the reason it is the gold standard is even with the piece of paper it is better to have the insurance company pay all the costs of a claim.

One piece of advice, make sure you have a great mortgage broker.

In my business I typically mail out between 6,000 and 10,000 pieces of mail per month.

Another important piece is also to really appreciate that it is a long term play and not a get rich quick scheme. 

I'm thinking of doing something extreme for my mail piece, like a video card or big gift box or something.

You should have enough budget to send at least 5 mailings to your list with a gap of 3-4 weeks in between.Do not overthink the content in your mail piece.
