I would also like to put the home on the market to sell but it needs to have some work done to give it some curb appeal such as the outside painted.

If you can come to the city to visit that helps but often, as a majority of properties are "curb offers only", buyers will come out for inspections after the offer is made and then go home and complete the rest of deal form there.

Getting that first one is huge for boosting confidence and building inertia for the next one. 

supposedly there's a developer looking to give it a boost in the coming years. so if you get something now at a discount and can afford to hold it for a year or two, you might make out real nice after the the values go up.Kudos,Mary
