thank you to you all for the input. the market here is ok, it does not grow in any big way due to the property taxes in new york. i have been told a couple of times that the market is hot here and if i relisted it, i would probably get more anyway. the first appraisal cam back at exactly what we settled on for the purchase price. then, after a couple of months of screwing around on the banks part, their VA appraiser totally screwed up the second appraisal, using inferior comps. how the hell can a house that appraised for $51,000 go down in value after you put on a new roof, a new furnace, a couple of new windows and vinyl facias???
