I am eager to get started in real estate and see using a platform like Roofstock as a great way to get into the game and continue to build my knowledge, but curious to know what anyone’s thoughts on are this.Thank so much!

I have a bent toward Real Estate (and obviously BP is a Real Estate based platform) so I would say put your money into real estate.

We bought it and jumped in finding contractors while building the platform/business to market the units.

One thing I wish I would have done when I started investing in real estate 3 years ago is immediately creating a thought leadership platform (or multiple ones).

Looking forward to learning a lot from this platform.

But charging agents seems like "biting the hand that feeds" because Zillow's entire web platform is built off syndicating MLS data (which we agents already pay for in terms of subscriber fees to maintain each of our MLSes). 

@Tyler Elmore BP is one of the best platforms for new investors to network and build relationships.I've also found attending local meetups to be very beneficial.

I am looking for a platform or site that allows you to see if the home has active utilities or the last time of service based on the address.

That's something that only he (or you, if you are his financial guardian) can decide on.If your father is fairly aggressive then it's very easy to find syndications via the crowdfunding platforms.
