I'm also in CA, but around 450 miles or so south give or take :).I've only been to one REIA meeting in my local area (so far), and I've already come across a company that does self-directed IRAs.

Did you you start with California counties or go further afield?

We are buy and hold investors based in California, yet choose to invest in Cleveland where cashflow is far better.Our philosophy is to buy SFRs in 'B' neighborhoods that are primarily owner occupied and also have decent school zones.
