So, my advice to myself all those years ago would have been to find a brokerage that offers leads, because the technical part is easy...in the beginning you need leads (unless you have 1,000 people waiting for you to get your license before they buy/sell their homes).

Later on, you can decide to move out when you don't want to live there anymore, and you can also try quit claiming title to an LLC you own, but technically it will still be tied to you as an individual.

There are tax and reporting issues specific only to foreign investors, but these are all technicalities that can be overcome.The bigger difficulties lie in investing, managing and controlling your assets long distance.

Technically I own the rights to be paid on those liens for 20 years, but given that they are liens on undesirable rural land, the likelihood anybody would buy them is remote.All of my liens were selected and bought for me by PIP with the intention of getting them either redeemed or foreclosing on the underlying asset.
