In any “normal” market, I’d just put 0-3% down owner-occupied, pay for the reno, and call it a day.I’ll be speaking to banks/credit unions as well but what do you see as my options to refinance (or finance) after reno to pull my money out as soon as possible?

I found it thru MLS and used their broker to speak things along...I got it by bidding $15K over asking...crazy market right now.

It's been a while but this lead is still very much alive, I speak with them about once every 6 weeks.

Hey y'all,I've been speaking with my lender and he can help me refinance my home with another VA loan and cash out $50k, which I told him would go towards a down payment on a new property in a year and I would rent out my old home.

Then you have to speak with the Landlord to see if he would allow you to operate a short-term rental in his apartment (he likely won't).

The other way would be to speak with the tenant and show them your new lease.

Speak with a good real estate attorney in Albany who is familiar with these types of transactions.

Some corners are cut (figuratively speaking, not literally) but once they are installed they're pretty good.
