Specifically on whether the high interest rates will lead to an increase in mortgage delinquency rates similar to what we saw during the 2008 great financial crisis.I plotted the chart below (Figure 1) to compare Fed Funds rate to unemployment rate and mortgage delinquency rate.

I'd be willing to live in it which appears to have some benefits for a condo conversion depending what town you're in.The thought being that we could buy a duplex/triplex/quad, convert it to a condo, and sell off the remaining units leaving me with (at the end of the day) an affordable housing option.Here are the condo zoning laws that I found for Sunnyvale: https://www.huduser.gov/portal...My understanding is that they don't do condo conversions with <3% rental vacancy rate, but it looks like it was 3.1% from the most recent HUD market analysis for my area that I could find: https://www.huduser.gov/portal...Does anyone know someone who has done a condo conversion in the Bay Area?

We are seeing signs of higher demand even though rates remain high, months of inventory decreasing, multiple offers becoming very common again, and consumer confidence increasing.We are expecting these trends to continue as the news headlines continue to shift and report much more positive market conditions.

My interest rate on the home I pulled the HELOC from is 2.75%, so I don’t want to refinance it because I won’t get that rate again and I would like to avoid my mortgage increasing in both properties if possible.
