this is not new, been in place for many years its not a big deal .  

And if the lender foreclosed on the property a few years ago, but still hasn't tried to sell it, then it could be because there's an issue with title, or perhaps there's a legal battle taking place with the previous owner.

So buyers spread out to places no one would have bought say 10 years before that..

While some of the places I've bought are not recently renovated, I have bought homes that require no renos and have been happy with them.

Furnishing a place is also death by 1000 cuts.
