Being within reasonable distance to a city, restaurants, HEBs as opposed to walmart, domain, gyms, ect. is generally a safer bet.

As someone who's worked with many contractors, this is a for sure way of making enemies with contractors as opposed to them becoming your allies/friendsContractors will despise going out there on site knowing that you aren't the decision maker and have no plans of actually conducting the work he's giving you the bid for.

@Joe Splitrock an increase in rates may cut the buyer pool in half, so as opposed to the majority of homes receiving 20 plus offers over asking, at least what I'm seeing in my market, it'll instead be 10 offers, which is still an indication of high demand.
