Seemed great at the time but when my company transferred me back to S.F. a couple of years later and we started looking in the old neighborhood  we discovered what had happened to us.

Good schools, low crime, great boating community with the canals and gulf access, and it's being discovered by Europeans, Canadians and the northern folks like me.  

After my offer was accepted, I got to view the inside and discovered it was way beyond the scope of repairs I was expecting or comfortable with.

I'm discovering this for myself and am therefore back to concentrating on rental properties in NC. 

Recently, I discovered BP while searching for new podcasts (I drive 8 hours everyday currently) and is has been amazing.

My uncle, who is probably one of the best businessmen I know, got sued for $12million the day after one of his tenants discovered mold in the house college.

Ever notice in some orchards there is a row of crops between the trees, the farmers discovered how to make more money by planting something between the trees to harvest besides what came off the trees.One of the best books I ever read on "Hacking",[ still seems like a stupid name to me but what would I know, my first experience with computers was in 1960 and it took four floors of a high rise in S.F. to do what a laptop can do today} any way it was written by a Walnut Creek Real Estate Broker in California over 40 years ago.

During the whole process I am constantly talking back and fourth with LL's and my real estate transaction team. 

I discovered a problem with mine:I had $250. deductible and $400,000. liability which I changed for the same premium to $2500. deductible and $1,000,000. liability with an overlying Umbrella.Frankly the Asset Protection requires a lot, especially complying with the Trust Documentation articles that YOU set up.
