My father has had several properties and it has served him very well, he really enjoyed investing.

I always enjoy when I fly into Truckee to meet my old bud's from Napa .. we play gold at Old Greenwood then go to Whitehawk .. for  few days. 2.5 hours down from PDX. 

I plan to do most of the work myself since it is something I enjoy doing, but for purposes of negotiation perhaps estimating the labor costs would be beneficial.

As for TV shows, I've really enjoyed the flipping ones for inspiration, but they are more drama than anything.
