Do not make collection attempts on debts discharged in bankruptcy that is against the law.  

They have no motivation to push a seller and work through any bit of hesitation they may be feeling or make any attempt to discern what the seller's true reason for selling their home may be.Would the conversion rate be greater than just a voicemail?

Even if at the end of the day there were damages or issues to the unit with which they attempted to mitigate out of the deposit, you would still be owed the interest on the 950.
