Great question and I wish I knew the actual answer.

One of the members of the partnership DOES have a broker's license--would it be legal for us to officially call him the property manager, and I would work under him as an "employee", but I'm really the one doing all of the actual work involved?

Did the structure they helped set up hold up and protect you in an actual legal situation?

I've been studying up on REI for about a year now and this month I finally decided to actually start getting my feet wet.   

I am sure I am naive but why would people in crisis care who actually buys their property as long as it gets sold in the timeframe discussed and the agreed upon price?  

Who out there has gone into a local Credit Union or small private bank and actually got a line of credit.

I guess you'd need to figure out the actually standing of the agent, in what capacity does he represent the company.. why wouldn't the principals sign if they did before.. 

He actually just located a 3plex that looks like a great deal and would like to partner with myself beings I have a little more experience than him.
