Since purchasing with the intent to live in it while we fix it up we have taken our time with the remodel starting with the 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and family room that we aren't using regularly.

This project had some unique challenges but provided a great return and rented for higher than most (if not all) of the 2 bedroom homes in the neighborhood.

You can get as creative as you want with something like this. 

I have the main house they have a smaller 2 bed room on the side of the house.

I live in the main part of the home and rent out a 2 bedroom apartment on the side of the house.

The property had recently been flipped, so there is little opportunity to create new equity.When we originally found the deal, the seller planned to rehab the attic & create an additional bedroom.

Or I could do a sliding wooden wall /doors between the bedroom and living room for some privacy, like in smaller Hawaiian type timeshares.The upstairs apartments are 2 bed, one downstairs is 2 bed, one is 1 bed.For me its a buy and hold/rental income property.Thoughts?
