With potentially large amounts of federal funds sloshing around, I believe the city wants to get in on the federal grant money, thus is taking "concrete steps to eliminate such needless barriers to producing affordable housing."

In H-Town, fancy storage and garage condos might not be widespread yet, but I reckon there's potential.

To many people use Excuses to prevent them from expanding their potential.

The question is, should I sale the land and use the money to invest in a turnkey property or should I utilize the land and potentially put a few mobile homes there and rent those out.

You may in theory, potentially be able to take a loan out on a balance.I.E. someone has $100,000 in value somewhere(such as a retirement brokerage or brokerage account) that acts as collateral if something goes wrong, towards a loan amount.You would have to speak to a couple of banks to see who would do this and what the interest rate of the loan product would be.I think the likely easier situation would be if there is a distribution taken from the retirement account(taxable income if traditional retirement account) which is then lent to you.
